The British Hot Rod Association was formed in 1994 by a few enthusiastic people who had been heavily involved in the National Association of Street Clubs (NASC). It was felt that there was not a club that catered for street-rods, customs and classics in the Medway and North West Kent areas. So the BHRA was reformed, reviving a name that was originally used in the early 60's and lost through name changes within the early Drag Racing clubs.

The club meets every Thursday night at the Kent Boat and Ski Club, behind Cuxton Station from about 8 o'clock onwards. We regularly hold social functions including discos, live bands, barbecues and even a pantomime in late January. We try to make it a good family atmosphere, so if you are in the area and want to join or just to visit - Please call in.

Since the Kent Boat and Ski Club was reduced to a pile of ash, we have been meeting in the Rochester Queen floating bar/restaurant. Turn LEFT instead of right after crossing the tracks at Cuxton Station and look for the big boat with the drunken rodders on board! It is hoped we will be able to return to the Kent Boat and Ski Club in the summer once it has been rebuilt.
