1ST SOUTH EAST CUSTOM AND CLASSIC SHOW

15th to 17th June

The event started early Friday with the arrival of 1066 Cruisers, soon followed by others. With only a few showers on the Friday, The Event seemed blessed with good weather, whilst it appeared that only a few miles out wasn't quite to fortunate. This probably kept the w/end entries lower than at first hoped.

Friday night brought a mean Curry in the 1066 camp as promised by Scott. The disco got going, but most kept a pretty chilled out approach to the start of the w/end meeting up with old friends and sinking a few drinks back at camp.

Saturday came with the cruise planned for a midday start. A few of us drove on to marshall the route, although quite a few cruisers were local enough to

understand where the route was taking them. The route went down well, especially the turn around point at the base of Tunbridge Wells, where most used

the roundabout U-turn as a burnout session for the locals.

On through to Tonbridge, the cruise parked up in a field provided by The Rose Revived Pub, where all enjoyed a shandy,

and many tucked into the good food they were serving up.

Back to camp, and it wasn't long before the disco fired up, followed by the local band.

The night went on til 1am as promised.

Sunday started early with the arrival of many traders from 7am. The slot drag strip was set up, and was really popular.

Both public and show cars arrived from 9am, and they just kept coming, and coming.

A good day had by all, and without a doubt, there will be a repeat of this show next year!!
